Lilly Pilly plants are native to Australia and are part of the myrtle family (Syzygium genus). The oval-shaped, pink, purple, or white coloured berries produced by the Lilly Pilly catch your eye with their bright colours contrasted against the deep green hues of its hedge leaves.

The sharp sour juice and cinnamon spice aroma of the fruit also attracts many beautiful birds to the Lilly Pilly bushes. Aboriginal Australians refer to their fruit as “medicine berries” because the berries are bursting with Vitamin C and antioxidants. Some Lilly Pilly varieties produce edible berries but our Lilly Pilly shrubs are cultivated exclusively for their beauty and are not advised to eat.

Although not all varieties of this hedge plant produce berries, they all generate thick, lustrous leaves and are naturally bushy and thick. Because of their high leaf density, Lilly Pillys are the perfect privacy screen for your home or garden. Many Lilly Pilly bushes (shrubs) can typically grow to be 3-4 meters tall and 1 meter in width.
